2020 Graduate Student Research Poster Competition


Graduate students enrolled during the Spring 2020 semester, or those graduated within six months of the Pacific Northwest Animal Nutrition Conference, (no earlier than July 14, 2019), are encouraged to submit an abstract. Previous award winners are not eligible for prize money.


First Place — $1,250
Second Place — $1,000
Third Place — $750

Abstract Requirements

Abstracts must describe research completed as part of the student's degree program. It is highly recommended that students take into consideration the applied nature of this conference when deciding the relevance of their work. Work previously presented at a national or international conference is eligible. Abstracts should not exceed one single-spaced page (1-inch margins, 12 pts. Times New Roman font). Submit an abstract to your departmental representative by December 16, 2019.

Poster Requirements

Suggested poster size is 36 X 54 inches. Posters must include at least the following sections: Introduction, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Summary/Implications, and References. Work previously presented at another conference must be reformatted for this conference. Posters will be judged by a panel of industry representatives based on the presentation as well as the content.

Postdoctoral and Undergraduate Researchers

You may present data in poster form but are not eligible for prize money.
