The Lynn VanWieringen Student Travel Award

Dr. Lynn VanWieringen was born in 1971. After high school graduation, she went on to WSU and studied animal science (BS, MS, and PhD). She met her husband there in 1992, and they were married in 2003. They raised four children together.

She worked in various areas of animal agriculture and spent 14 years of her career managing Ag Health Laboratories in Sunnyside, Washington. She was a central part of the Pacific NW Animal Nutrition Conference (PNWANC) over the past 10 years of her career and contributed significantly to the growth of the Conference through the many activities in which she was involved.

She wholeheartedly valued the participation of students in the PNWANC. This travel award is in her honor, and in honor of her true commitment to the education of animal science students and their interaction with industry.
